\nwill take place at the Pali\u0107 Festival.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Zrinko Ogresta\u2019s film A Blue Flower has been invited to the competition program of the 28th Pali\u0107 European Film Festival, which will be held from July 17 to 23 in Pali\u0107 and Subotica. The Pali\u0107 European Film Festival is one of the most important film festivals in the region, dedicated exclusively to European cinema. It presents the finest works of contemporary European cinematography while nurturing the tradition of auteur and artistic films. The main competition program consists of 12 selected films that have premiered at major international festivals and is dedicated to European works that explore the fate of the European individual, highlighting the richness and significance of diversity within the European space.<\/p>\n

A Blue Flower is a film about a woman, a mother, and a daughter, centered around middle-aged Mirjana, an employee at a thread factory in Zagreb. On the day of her 20th work anniversary celebration, Mirjana\u2019s encounters and conversations with her loved ones shed light on different aspects of her life: her past, her present, and what lies ahead.<\/p>\n

The screenplay was written by Ivor Martini\u0107 in collaboration with director Ogresta. The film stars Vanja \u0106iri\u0107, Anja \u0160ovagovi\u0107 Despot, Tea Har\u010devi\u0107, Nik\u0161a Butijer, Doris \u0160ari\u0107-Kukuljica, Alen Liveri\u0107, and others. The film\u2019s producer is Ivan Malo\u010da, cinematographer Branko Linta, editor Tomislav Pavlic, and the music was composed by Dino Osmanagi\u0107 and Kristijan Ko\u0161\u010dica.<\/p>\n

A Blue Flower had its world premiere in mid-April at the main program of the 43rd Moscow International Film Festival, where it was voted the third-best film by the audience. A few days ago, it was also nominated for the international film award \u2018East-West Golden Arch.\u2019 The film was produced by Interfilm from Zagreb in co-production with Zillion Film from Belgrade and Croatian Radio Television, with support from HAVC and FCS. The Croatian premiere will take place on July 20 at the 68th Pula Film Festival.<\/p>\n
