The Mind Tunnel is a very tense police, psycho-thriller series of twelve episodes written on the basis of police reports and interviews with negotiators and inspectors who participated in the negotiations on the cases we covered throughout the series. Everything is inspired by real people, crisis and hostage situations that happened in Serbia in the past 20 years. The story of the series follows the work and private lives of the negotiation group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, which through each episode has a new perpetrator in front of them whom they are trying to help. Viewers will have the opportunity to see a unit whose main task is to solve crimes before they happen, a unit that saves the perpetrator from a hopeless situation, when his consciousness has been narrowed to such an extent that he does not know where and how to proceed, which is located in a dark tunnel of his mind from which he cannot get out, are the words of the director Petar Ristovski.

On June 25, the international 6th RAVNO SELO FILM FESTIVAL of the first and second films ended.

The long-awaited Cultural Center in Ravno Selo was completed this year, and the official opening is by the end of the year.

1. 🌽 The Golden Clip for the best director with a monetary award in the amount of EUR 1,500 went to Nina Ognjenović for the film OVUDA ĆE PROĆI OVAJ PUT.
2. 🌽 The Golden Clip for the best film and a monetary award in the amount of EUR 1,000 was awarded to the film TRAG DIVLJAČI directed by Nenad Pavlović.
3. 🌽 The Golden Clip for the best film as chosen by the audience and a prize in the amount of EUR 500 was awarded to the film INDIGO KRISTAL directed by Luka Mihailović.
4. 🌽 The Golden Clip for the best documentary film with a cash prize of 500 EUR was awarded to the film WILL YOU LOOK AT ME directed by Shuli Huang. In the same category, a special award was also given for the best documentary film, MOJ CRVENI FILM, directed by Nenad Pržulj.
5. 🌽 The “Prvi Metar” plaque for the best student film with a monetary award in the amount of EUR 500 was awarded to Sara Radusinović for the film KAD ZABORAVIŠ JULI. In the same category, the Special Award for the best student film went to Vidi Jović for the film DUNAVSKI PARK.

🌽 This year too, the official jury awarded the GORKI LIST award for the best young actor/actress of the Festival in the amount of EUR 1,000, and the award went to NEVENI NERANĐŽIĆ for the role of Manja in the film MANJA.

Six years ago, our House of Culture burned down and the Festival was founded in order to help build a new House for the many culture lovers from our area. Today we can say that we succeeded in that, and it is a matter of days when we will have a grand opening. I consider it our great success and a great gift for future generations.

Centers of culture must become gathering places for young people, where they can express their creative energy. In this way, the degree of aggression and dissatisfaction, which reigns among the younger generations, and which have begun to escalate in the blackest possible way, leaving traumas on the whole society, will surely decrease.

The sixth consecutive Ravno Selo Film Festival will soon begin, which will gather young creators from all over Serbia, the surrounding area and various parts of the world and once again show how creative and brave young people are to do what they love. Our festival has become recognizable for its original programs, good fellowship and good energy, which is created by both authors and festival viewers who come in thousands to our screenings, because the mission of the festival focuses on film in its broadest sense: from amateur, through high school to professional. film and the involvement of all generations of the local community in the festival, not only as an audience but also as active participants.

The sixth in a row, Ravno Selo Film Festival, will be opened with a film music concert, where the actors and singers will be accompanied by the Zrenjanin Philharmonic Orchestra, on June 22.

Every year, the festival awards a total of five awards in five categories, so the most creative will be able to win this year as well:

1. Golden clip for the best debutant director (with a monetary award in the amount of EUR 1,500)
2. Golden clip for the best debut film (with a cash prize in the amount of EUR 1,000)
3. Golden clip for the best film as chosen by the audience (and a prize in the amount of EUR 500)
4. Golden clip for the best documentary film (with a cash prize in the amount of 500 EUR)
5. First meter plaque for the best student film (with a monetary award in the amount of 500 EUR)

Other awards:

• This year, the GORKI LIST company is also awarding the award for the best young actor (in the amount of 1000 EUR)
• A special award will be added for the student film shot in Ravno Selo

Traditionally, the accompanying program “Filmić” will be held – a Novi Sad youth film screening led by Professor Slobodan Popov and a film workshop led by actress Lora Đurović.

The festival is held with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the City of Vrbas and the production company Zillion Film.

BELGRADE: The LA-based distribution company House of Film has acquired world distribution rights for the Serbian history drama King Peter the First / Kralj Petar Prvi directed by Petar Ristovski. The film, supported by Film Center Serbia, was Serbia’s bid for the Oscar race in the best international film category for 2019. The film will be dubbed into English.
