SIXTH RAVNO SELO FILM FESTIVAL FROM 22-25. JUNE

Traditionally, for the sixth year in a row, the Ravno Selo Film Festival will be held this year from June 22 to 25, and according to the founder of the festival, Lazar Ristovski, the time has come when the necessity of cultural centers is becoming more and more obvious.

Six years ago, our House of Culture burned down and the Festival was founded in order to help build a new House for the many culture lovers from our area. Today we can say that we succeeded in that, and it is a matter of days when we will have a grand opening. I consider it our great success and a great gift for future generations.

Centers of culture must become gathering places for young people, where they can express their creative energy. In this way, the degree of aggression and dissatisfaction, which reigns among the younger generations, and which have begun to escalate in the blackest possible way, leaving traumas on the whole society, will surely decrease.

The sixth consecutive Ravno Selo Film Festival will soon begin, which will gather young creators from all over Serbia, the surrounding area and various parts of the world and once again show how creative and brave young people are to do what they love. Our festival has become recognizable for its original programs, good fellowship and good energy, which is created by both authors and festival viewers who come in thousands to our screenings, because the mission of the festival focuses on film in its broadest sense: from amateur, through high school to professional. film and the involvement of all generations of the local community in the festival, not only as an audience but also as active participants.

The sixth in a row, Ravno Selo Film Festival, will be opened with a film music concert, where the actors and singers will be accompanied by the Zrenjanin Philharmonic Orchestra, on June 22.

Every year, the festival awards a total of five awards in five categories, so the most creative will be able to win this year as well:

1. Golden clip for the best debutant director (with a monetary award in the amount of EUR 1,500)
2. Golden clip for the best debut film (with a cash prize in the amount of EUR 1,000)
3. Golden clip for the best film as chosen by the audience (and a prize in the amount of EUR 500)
4. Golden clip for the best documentary film (with a cash prize in the amount of 500 EUR)
5. First meter plaque for the best student film (with a monetary award in the amount of 500 EUR)

Other awards:

• This year, the GORKI LIST company is also awarding the award for the best young actor (in the amount of 1000 EUR)
• A special award will be added for the student film shot in Ravno Selo

Traditionally, the accompanying program “Filmić” will be held – a Novi Sad youth film screening led by Professor Slobodan Popov and a film workshop led by actress Lora Đurović.

The festival is held with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the City of Vrbas and the production company Zillion Film.
