
Film “KING PETAR THE FIRST” Wins GOLDEN KNIGHT Award for Best Film
The film “King Petar I” won the GOLDEN KNIGHT award for Best Film at the XXIX International Film Festival in Sevastopol, Russia
At the 29th Golden Knight International Film Festival, which concluded on September 16, 2020, in Sevastopol (Russia), the GOLDEN KNIGHT award for Best Film was awarded to “King Petar I,” directed by Petar Ristovski and produced by Zillion Film. Additionally, the Best Actor Award for the same film was given to Lazar Ristovski.
This year’s festival featured many Russian films, along with two other Serbian productions: Goran Paskaljević’s “Despite the Fog,” which received the Bronze Knight award, and Srdan Golubović’s “Father.”
The Golden Knight Festival is one of the most significant Russian film festivals, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation under the patronage of President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Duma, and Patriarch Kirill. This year’s festival was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.
