Ravno Selo Film Festival

The Ravno Selo Film Festival, under its traditional slogan SELOM KRUŽE FILMSKE PRIČE (Films Stories Circle Around the Village), will take place this year from July 1 to 4.

Once again, the first and second films of directors will compete for two monetary awards: the Golden Clip for Best Film by Audience Choice, worth €1000, and the Golden Clip for Best Debut Director by the Expert Jury, worth €1500. Dragan Jeličić will oversee the selection of films for the main competition program.

The short film program will showcase student films from two academies. The host of this program will be the Academy of Arts from Novi Sad, which will welcome its colleagues from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. The best film, according to the audience jury, will be awarded a plaque, the Golden Clip for Young Author.

Petar Ristovski, festival director, and Marko Čkonjević, artistic director, announce two novelties for this year. The RSFF is expanding the competition category for short documentary films, with Igor Toholj as the selector. Additionally, a film school will be organized for primary and secondary school students lasting two weeks. During the school, participants will have the opportunity to create a film with the help of a director-mentor, filmed with a mobile phone. The best video will be awarded a mobile phone and additional filming equipment.

The festival pays special attention to workshops and accompanying programs. Renowned artists such as Mirjana Karanović and Rade Šerbedžija have previously held masterclasses. The details of this year’s workshops will be announced soon.
