The 9th Balkan New Film Festival (BaNeFF) will take place from February 14–16, 2020. Organized in collaboration with the Swedish Film Institute, the City of Stockholm, ABF Stockholm, and the Swedish Institute, the festival showcases new films from the Balkans.

Over the past nine years, the festival has screened over 100 feature films and more than 200 short and documentary films. This year’s selection includes Serbian films “Stitches” by Miroslav Terzić, “Delirium Tremens” by Goran Marković, “King Petar I” by Petar Ristovski, and “Soldier’s Lullaby” by Predrag Antonijević. Films from North Macedonia, Croatia, Russia, Bulgaria, and Montenegro are also part of the lineup.

A jury composed of film professionals will evaluate the films in four categories: Best Film, Best Female Filmmaker, Audience Award, and Special Prizes.

Tickets are available at ZITA Cinema’s box office, and the BaNeFF 2020 tour will continue across Sweden and Norway.
