
Petar Ristovski Awarded for the Directing Award f or the film “King Peter the First”
Petar Ristovski received the third award for directing “Zivojin Zika Pavlovic” at the just-completed 12th edition of the Leskovac International Film Directing Festival – LIFFE. The jury pointed out that this young director, after the movie “March on the Drina” by Zika Nikolic, continues with great courage and professionalism the path of this famous director.
I am extremely honored and happy for this award. For me, as a debutant, it is no small thing to be third in a festival like this. We have put a lot of directorial craft into this film. I am glad that the jury recognized this and rewarded that effort – said Petar Ristovski.
Thus, “King Peter the First” continued to achieve success at festivals and at the public. Five local and eight regional films competed for the prestigious festival awards. The festival was held from 18 to 22 September at several locations in Leskovac, organized by the Leskovac Cultural Center and sponsored by the City of Leskovac and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, and with the support of the Serbian Film Center. Throughout its eleven-year history, LIFFE has developed into a prestigious event that goes far beyond local contexts and is gaining popularity with filmmakers and filmmakers. This year’s guests included Bogdan Diklic, Milos Bikovic, Lazar Ristovski, Irfan Mensur, Goran Bogdan, Andrija Milosevic, Bojana Maljevic, Milena Pavlovic, Aleksandar Sreckovic Kubura, Miodrag Radonjic, Andrija Kuzmanovic, Ana Maria Rossi, Teona Mitevska Strugar, Inona , Vladimir Blazevski, Dragan Marinkovic, Nenad Dizdarevic, Bora Draskovic, Mima Karadzic, Radoslav Stanisic, and many others.
